Jet Backups
We use JetBackup to save backups of your server files every 2 - 3 days, such as cPanel account, website files, database or email accounts.
JetBackup is accessed from within your accounts cPanel, in the Files section or directly through the JetBackup section.
Full account restore
Please take care - a full account restore will overwrite every component of your hosting account - your files, databases, mailboxes etc. Be sure this is what you want to do before continuing. If you just want to restore a single file, or database, please see the section below to restore an individual element.
Click the Full Backups icon
Click the Restore link next to the time/day you'd like to restore to. Tick the confirmation box and then click Add to Restore Queue. You can view the task queue to see progress of the restore.
File backups restore
To download or restore specific files, click File Backups.
Click the File Manager link next to the backup date you'd like to restore from.
Use the file manager to select files/directories you'd like to restore.
Select the files and/or directories you require, and then click the Restore Selected button, tick the confirmation box and then click the Add to Restore Queue button.
You can see the progress of your tasks either in the task Queue or on the right hand side of the window. This will change to Restore Completed when it's finished.
Restore an email account
By completing this process to restore an email account you will be replacing the entire mailbox of the account you restore with the one from the back up you select. This will mean you'll lose any email held in the mailbox between the time of the backup selected and the restore time. It is not possible to restore individual emails or folders.
From the JetBackup dashboard (Files > JetBackup) click Email Backups
You'll see a list of email account, select the date/time of the backup you'd like to restore and click Restore. The list may be blank to start, so use the arrows on the top right to view each page.
On the confirm screen, you'll need to tick the 'Are you sure you want to restore this account?' box and then click Add to Restore Queue.
You can then return to the dashboard and click the Queue button to check on progress - you'll see when the backup is marked as Status Completed.
Restore a Database
By completing this process to restore a database you will be completely over-writing any existing database in the cPanel with the same name. Please ensure you take backups of your current database to ensure you can roll-back if you need too.
From the JetBackup dashboard (Files > JetBackup) click Database Backups.
You'll see a list of database backups, select the date/time of the backup you'd like to restore and click Restore. The list may be blank to start, so use the arrows on the top right to view each page.
On the confirm screen, you'll need to tick the Are you sure you want to restore this account? box and then click Add to Restore Queue.
You can then return to the dashboard and click the Queue button to check on progress - you'll see when the backup is marked as Status Completed.
